About Us
Special Evaluations & Consulting of Texas, or SpEC for short, is owned and directed by Robin Pokladnik, MEd, NCED.
Robin Pokladnik is a Nationally certified, as well as State Board of Education certified Educational Diagnostician with more than 20 years of experience.
She is a member of TCASE, TEDA, NCED, CEC, APA, CASE, CEDS, and the International Dyslexia Association. In addition to being a practicing evaluator, Robin has experience as a director of special education and 504 in large urban districts as well as small and rural schools. She is an eminent speaker and trainer of evaluators, presenting at some of the largest educational conferences in the country. Robin has participated in statewide child find networks to improve upon our obligation to
find all children with disabilities and offer proper supports.
Robin is a compassionate child and family centered evaluator.
Listening to parent concerns and addressing a child’s needs with specific individualized recommendations is her hallmark.
SpEC utilizes the most current evaluation instruments and practices to determine student needs in alignment with the Texas legal framework. SpEC only engages the most experienced and reputable evaluators and service providers available.
SpEC is a certified small, woman owned business and a member of the
Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce. SpEC proudly participates in several purchasing cooperatives that serve Texas public schools.
